Elyse's Journey

I've always been an avid reader and artist. Reading and drawing or painting has always been a passion of mine that allowed me to connect with others and express myself. Relationships and helping others grew from those passions and I decided to take my career in that direction.

After high school, I followed a path to college to study Psychology and eventually got my Master's in School Counseling. I spent a number of years working managing a college bookstore and in a high school working with students after graduating with my degree. While I enjoyed my work helping students succeed, I felt the need to be home with my children and support my family in a different way.

After leaving my job at the high school, I was able to find a remote position that allowed me to be creative, connect with others, and also still bring in an income for my family. With COVID and all the changes that brought, this was even more important for us. During this time of isolation, I found myself reading even more and diving back into the author world.

Around the same time I connected with Emily and through many months of talking, learning about PA work, and encouragement - I jumped in full force and haven't looked back since! I absolutely love connecting with authors, other PAs, and supporting them with their work. It is a great marriage of my passions of helping others, using my creativity and artistic side, and connecting others together.
